4th of July and no fireworks

Things didn’t exactly go as we planned for the 4th of July.  We went sightseeing, eating, sightseeing, got soaked with rain and ate again.  

 

Too bad the last time we ate (dinner) there was an 1 1/2 hr. wait for a table.  We had planned on eating dinner then coming back to our hotel to watch the fireworks from our balcony.

 

By the time we got out of the restaurant it was 10 p.m. and there was no sign of any fireworks that evening.
